Saab Active Head Restraint Test...

It works! At least at low speeds. I was rear ended last Friday while stopped at at an intersection, waiting to turn left at a stoplight. The driver of the Denali behind me accelerated thinking the light had changed, when it hadn't. My '06 9-5 SportCombi received about $3,600 in damage, but my neck is fine. It was a little sore on Friday, but fine by Satuday morning.
I could feel the rear head rest against my head almost immediately. And, the seats did their usually fine job of protecting my back. The collision moved my Saab several feet, so it was consequential from an impact standpoint, albeit at slow speed.
Thank you Saab Engineering!
