Hopefully, the knowledge base here can offer me advice.
I have a diecast part for a non-saab vehicle that has a poorly-designed weak spot. There are two areas less than an inch wide and 1/8" thick. These connect two areas of much greater mass. When installed these small area are not structural, but off the car they become VERY vulnerable. One of these was broken on a part I purchased. Instead of returning the part, I was wondering if anyone had recommendations on how best to repair this, if at all possible.
Other than beer, what about JB Weld? Dura-Fix? soldering? spit and wire? Should I attempt it myself, or send it out? Any recommendations?
