...he cannot accurately tell your speed from a rear view mirror. There are no rear facing radar guns, and he cannot use the eye method. He also cnnot accurately judge space between cars. DO research and find the legal allowed space between 2 cars and a cop car and your car. There may be no such number, and if so, you are golden. Additionally, ask if his car was calibrated for speedometer accuracy. Even so, how could he look at speedo and rear mirror at the same time. Point out other cars were moving between the gap of your two cars, so there must have been at least 5 car legths. Indicate he jammed his brakes twice and you came no where near rear ending him because you were travelling at a safe speed and distance. Indicate that because you were driving at a safe speed and distance you wondered about whether he was OK or in trouble, because it is not usual for cops to jam their brakes. If he was having a mechanical failure you wanted to help.
Make sure you use the process of 'discovery' to get any and all of his logs and notes, service records and calibration records on his car, etc...'. I hope you did not say anything incriminating to him, as he will have recorded it.
