I actually just got a couple quotes for some stuff Posted by turrbo [Email] (#8) [Profile/Gallery] (more from turrbo) on Wed, 21 Mar 2007 09:42:00 In Reply to: Boston area body shop: your advice?, RedAeroGirl, Wed, 21 Mar 2007 09:06:16 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I have rust around my windshield that's starting to worry me. I went to Village Collision on Monday and it seemed like a good place, the guy (Marty) knew what he was talking about and agreed that my car was in great shape otherwise, so definitely worth fixing. The quote he gave me for the worst case scenario was expensive ($1600 including windshield replacement which I found out is covered by insurance and some cutting/welding), but it most likely will be less than that.
Just for giggles, I went to the body shop at Central Saab in Norwood. The guy there told me around $300 for the job, but that he'd have to use a lot of filler. I drove away really fast. I want it done right.
I'm going to call up Village Saab in Acton and see who they use. I didn't know that Mecca had a body shop too, I always thought they were just mechanics.
BTW, who is the indy that did past body work? I want to avoid him.
