With all due respect, it sounds like this is your first child, or at least the first to go to college.
Unless she plans on applying to schools like Stanford, Yale, Williams, Swarthmore, Brown etc. etc. etc... you're basically splitting hairs here.
Where is she thinking of applying? If she writes a great essay and has a great interview, there are hundreds of excellent colleges that would love to have her.
The college admission game is only a game if you make it one.
