You guys need to check YOUR facts before ranting at me Posted by Saabpilot [Email] (#134) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Saabpilot) on Sat, 19 May 2007 11:10:57 In Reply to: Re: Anyone else tired of Granite Embedded Systems?, ursaw, Fri, 18 May 2007 21:01:28 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Both of you are totally out of line in your comments. Paying for the order up front was required in order to get into the delivery schedule. Delivery was said to be end of February when I placed my order.
And YES, I have talked to them AND I have checked their web site directly for updates ever since placing the order. Do you think I'm a total idiot? Yes, I have even owned my own business in addition to working for others in sales and I cannot fathom doing this to a customer.
The question I asked, if you care to read my post instead of just reacting emotionally was "Anyone else tired of...." If you haven't purchased one of these from this vendor, you cannot be tired of them. I was soliciting opinions on how long it is reasonable to wait for a vendor who scheduled shipping of a product for the end of February, it's now the end of May and every time I check status there is yet another software glitch. Currently, today there is no proposed ship time. How long do you wait until enough is enough, is the question I'm asking.
FYI, I did not use a credit card. I used Paypal with a direct withdrawal from my bank account. I did this to a) avoid credit card finance rates for me and b) avoid credit card processing charges which Paypal levies to the vendor. I did this to help me AND to help the vendor. That's why I made the comment that the vendor has had "my" money.
I want the product, obviously or I would not have paid for it. However, I think it is beyond the time of being patient and I was simply soliciting opinions from others who have placed orders. If you think this is an unreasonable point of view I hold, why not loan me $179 and I'll pay you back when I get the product?
