depends on the car wash Posted by beardie [Email] (#750) [Profile/Gallery] (more from beardie) on Sun, 5 Aug 2007 06:30:54 In Reply to: What about car washes?, Thegens, Sun, 5 Aug 2007 01:54:03 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
The owners manual recommends hand washing. My dealer has an automatic wash that they run the car through after each service. I have seen this thing and I am not crazy about it as it is old and is one of those short track, don't have much space for the equipment arrangements. I think it depends on the technology that is used, I use a car wash that is very modern, uses lots of fresh water, not filtered, lots and I mean lots foamy soap, brushless technology, wipers use constantly running water to rinse out dirt, this place is amazing. I have used this place for the past 12 years and none of my vehicles have suffered finish damage. I think you just have to be very selective and ensure the top is very well rinsed of soap to protect it properly.
