Why do you need the Kodak softwre? Try it without. Here's a way that will likely work, although I haven't tried it with a Kodak. (It works with other cameras I've connected to my Mac.)
With your camera turned off, connect the camera to a USB port on your Mac. Then, turn the camera on. (You may need put the camera on the setting that is used to view pictures in its memory.)
After a short while you should see an icon of the camera's internal storage "disk" on your Mac desktop. (The icon will be the same icon as for virtual hard disks, if you are familiar with it.) Double click on the icon to open it.
In the resulting window, depending on how the Kodak camera stores images, you will either see icons for each of the pictures stored in the camera, or, more likely, a the icons for a few folders. If you see folders, your pictures will be in one of the folders.
To copy the pictures to your Mac from your camera, create a new folder on your Mac desktop (NOT within the window that represents your camera's contents.) Drag the icons of the pictures you want to transfer into this new window.
When you are done, drag the icon of your camera's internal storage "disk" to the trash. Turn off your camera and disconnect the cable.
