I have used Audacity. You'll need to break it onto tracks, though. You can maximize the levels, cut it up, etc. It's free and easy to use software.
You know you'll need to do phono RIAA equalization unless you have that USB turntable, right? So either a amp/rcvr with phono in and tape loop, or standalone phono preamp will be required.
In order to make your life much easier have you considered:
- downloading mp3's and making cd's?
- buying used cd's at half, flea bay, amazon, etc?
At 1 hour+ per LP (record, mess with SW, burn CD), it may be worth your while.
And remember, vinyl is junk. Send it to me for proper disposal. :)
