try Moe's- 206-784-5772. he is around the corner from Posted by nicknick [Email] (#731) [Profile/Gallery] (more from nicknick) on Mon, 20 Aug 2007 08:03:06 In Reply to: Recommended Mechanics for Sea-Tac area., WASAAB900, Sun, 19 Aug 2007 14:17:49 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
scanwest. these are both a little far from sea-tac (up in the 80's), but between the two you will be fine. i guess i depends on what you are looking for-replace everything as per saab new spec, or keep the thing on the road. moe's will keep the thing on the road, without you needing to sacrifice your children, scanwest will do EVERYTHING on the car, whether it needs to be done this year or not (and yes, it will feel alot like themain dealer when you get the bill!). i have no affiliation with either. my last customer ('90 900 'vert turbo) had come to his wits end with scanwest after several thousand dollars and still no heating on his 9000, and so he found moe's. i personally object to $20 for the little hose off the front of the head, when it costs $4 from eeuroparts, but i am over the moon with the $750 engine complete with alternator, starter, a/c comp, dist, fuel rail, etc i got from them last year. craig at scanwest is perhaps the nicest guy i have spoken to in along while, knows his stuff. plus, they took care of my wife recently when the '93 vert started leaking from the heater control valve (they were happy to by-pass it at my request)when she was on a trip to seattle. scanwest has a fantastic collection of used parts upstairs-felt like a kid in a candy store when i was up there last-but they do want $250 for a front bumper cover!
so, try them both, and take your pick.
also, for some parts also try r&h on arrora ave-less professional than either above imho, but they are very reasonable for parts ($125 for ecu), and have, in the past, furnished me with such parts as passenger window for 900'vert that i could not find used anywhere in washington ($140 delivered). good luck
