It would be better with a BMW thumper or boxer engine. People don't think of the extreme expense of battery replacements. People also believe that electric powered cars are soooo clean.
Where did the electricy come from to recharge the car? Not as many hydro damns any longer because of Salmon.
Even fewer nuclear power plants even though they're the best source of electricity. Lots of coal fired plants that in spite of better emisisons control, still put lots of particles in the environment either through the air or during recovery.
Lastly, and idea just how harmful these batteries are to the environment come disposal time?
I really like the concept of the car but just not electric powered. We already have Smart cars (finally) in the U.S. but how many of those have been sold? Unfortunately, people still want to put one person in a big cubicle on wheels.
