Did the driver who ran over your bike stop? They are the one who should be buying you a new bike. If you crash your car and someone rear ends you it's their fault and they are liable for the damage, same goes with them running over your bike. I hope you got their name and plate number, but with the number of moron drivers on the road I wouldn't expect them to stop. I stopped riding after being run off the road by someone driving 60 mph down a 40 mph country road. Many drivers think they have the right of way and they don't care if bikes are on the road. Bikes and cars need to share the roads, also bike riders need to obey the laws just the same. There are many times bikes cut in front of drivers or run stop signs because they think they have the right of way. Share the roads and be safe not stuppid. I'm glad your alright.
Good luck,
Rich
