Yes, because it is the date that the service writer puts it on the sheet, into the system, that is reflected on repairs.
A wise service writer once told me, dumb it down, to describe the problem like a layman, for the write-up. As in, if you know what it is already, and don-t diagnose it ourselves, we will never get it past the warranty gate-keeper clerks.
So your list should be: small oil drip in the driveway in the middle of the vehicle; fan sounds like squirrels have been living in it, and so on.

Looks like I am going to hang on to my old MY99 9-5 SW, if it makes it through the winter.
