and then ebay cancelled all records of the listing! that meant i could not contact the runner-up bidder, and faced relisting at the worst time of the year! ebay was no bleeping help AT ALL-spent an hour on live help with some doughnut, eventually relisted as a buy-it-now for $10 less than the runner-up had bid, and sure enough, they spotted it and contacted me, bought the item, all was good in the world. now, this was a $600 item, and i am a silver power seller, having sold around $75k this year (sorry, last year)and ebay basically just said 'tough luck'.seems that as long as they get their fees, they don't give a toss... they will never ban anyone from bidding, or expand your options for blocking bidders, as it's not in their interest. 'The cost of doing business' as someone once said...
