Basically,
do NOT use insure with Ameriprise. I've been with them (thru recommendation of Costco) for almost 4 years now. Last Friday, we got into a pretty bad accident in the Saab. This is our 3rd claim in 2 years. First accident went into subrogation even tho it was not our fault, we ended up paying 50% for our repairs. Second accident was a light tap between myself and a '96 Corolla, (no damage on my car), AMEX paid out $3k to other party and doubled my ins. This time around, it'll probably be our fault but the car's clearly totalled.
We filed claim Saturday, today's Thursday and I've gotten 1 "missed" call back from a claim agent who NEVER ever picks up and never ever calls me back. Was told on Tuesday an adjuster would be sent in 48 hours, no adjuster showed up at the body shop. Finally reached claims supervisor today who quoted: "your claims agent noted he called on Tuesday but there was no voicemail". LIAR! It's a cell phone number. Of course it has voice mail. I've spent over an hour on the phone with them, being on hold, being disconnected, transferred to the wrong extension, etc. Almost as bad as Sprint PCS. ** ALMOST **
/Sorry for the rant. i just want a check for my dead swede steed :(
