It depends on what you've got and what condition the parts are in. Does the car have leather interior? If so, is it in good shape? Was the car a turbo (I believe that '84 was the first year that the turbo was offered). Does it have the digital dash and the talk box (car spoke to you if your door was ajar, etc.). Did it have the lower center dash console? Does it have the silver Infinity sound system with the built-in equalizer and loudness contour switch? If it is a turbo, the hood with the inset louvers is worth something. Parts like that are worth pulling and selling if they are in good working and cosmetic condition. As a whole, the car and it's shared mechanical parts are not worth much other than scrap metal. It's too easy to get the parts new. High-end optional items and upgrades are rarer and yes, there is a market for them. Since the New Yorker shared parts with many K-bodied cars there is crossover. People restoring K-bodied LeBaron or 600 convertibles can use many of the parts from the New Yorker. If you plan to sell parts, check to see what other cars the parts fit and broaden your audience. Go to http://www.allpar(.)com and ask the question on their forums and your likely to get a different answer than here.
