I just got a Blackjack II on the at&t network. I really like the thing and o quite often use it to browse the internet, and Saabnet of course. I downloaded Opera mobile last night and am using the free trial. Something is weird with it though. I can't log into Saabnet. I've done it using internet explorer mobile, and cookies are enabled in Opera. I will have to futz with it more before I pay.
One feature that mine has that I absolutely love is that it can be plugged into my laptop and used as a modem. I was skeptical about this but stayed at a hotel with tweaky wireless internet that kept kicking me off. I plugged in my phone and set it up. The thing is FAST! Not quite cable speed but it could whoop DSL's butt. I think I connected at 230kb/sec. Not too bad. You just have to have service... haha. And it's all included in my monthly unlimited data fee. T-Mobile might charge you extra though.
I downloaded Google Maps and Microsoft Live Search on mine. Both use cell towers to triangulate your current position, although with the Blackjack you can use GPS which sucks down the battery and has a weak signal. I just stick to the towers. It's not as accurate but much faster. Then you can have it show traffic on the map with green, yellow, or red lines on the roads you're around. It's pretty neat.
The only complaint I have with Windows Mobile phones vs. something like a RIM Blackberry is the lack of PUSH e-mail. On the blackberry if you're company has an exchange server it will "push" e-mail to your phone and you get a notification/chime immediately. On Windows Mobile phones you have to set it up to do a send/receive every 10 minutes. You can get a service that has to run on your computer 24/7 and will somehow notify your phone via an invisible text message that you've got mail, but it's clunky and I don't care for it.
