Thanks. It does look like sheetmetal. It isn't at the edge of the sheetmetal so I don't think a clip on nut would work. I didn't study it the other day. I was too pissed and figured I'd stop by my indie for a suggestion.
I don't understand how the body shops are gonna fix this if it is just sheet metal. A larger screw would have too big a head for the handle. Saab didn't tap the holes which makes stripping that much more likely. The dealer is gonna live hearing about this one.
