Expensive Posted by turrbo [Email] (#8) [Profile/Gallery] (more from turrbo) on Fri, 8 Aug 2008 18:11:35 In Reply to: Re: Carfax?, Guled, Fri, 8 Aug 2008 16:26:48 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hate to tell you, but if money is tight, this might not be the perfect car for you. The V6 is good, but expensive when you need to replace the timing belt and tensioner, and expensive stuff like the turbo is prone to breaking. I, too, am a student and it's definitely more expensive for me to maintain my Saab, than my friends to maintain their American and Japanese boxes. For instance, last week = $1,100 for brakes, followed by $600 for A/C repair. Doesn't need work like that often, but when it does, it's not cheap. No place for me to do my own work for the most part, so it's all dealer or indy for me, too. That said, there is a price for driving enjoyment, comfort, safety and utility that I'm happy to pay.
