You have to remember Automotion deals with tuned Saabs.
As I understand it, Mobil 1 was breaking down in some of their customers high stage cars, especially during dyno sessions. Apparently M1 is a little thinner than most other synthetics at a given weight (ie 5w30, 10w40).
I use M1 15W50 in my stg3 9000 despite their warning (which I personally received when my car was there). It is widely available and my car isn't crazily fast so...
I wouldn't use M1 at 30 or 40 weight during the summer in a modified Saab, based on their idea that turbo cars like a thicker oil generally. Why take a risk?
