Jeep Wrangler owners?

I have to confess that I've always sort liked the concept of a Jeep and have occassionally been tempted to buy one. But I've always found them to be just a bit rude and crude to be a main vehicle and their reputation for not being put togather too well usually ends up putting me off. I recently drove a brand new four door and have to say it's a much nicer vehicle--I could definately own one of these. The question is, what is the concensis amoungst Jeep owners on the new one? Is the "tried and true" version that they've build for years better, or is this a real improvement? Second, what's it actually like to own one of these things? What kind of problems do they have? They sure aren't rated very well by the consumer mags. I know the new one supposedly has a Dodge minivan V6, which doesn't sound like a plus. It seems like everyone I know who has a Crysler product ends needing a transmission by about 50K or 60K. I've thought about getting a motorhome and one of these would be great to tow behind. Would I regret owning one?
