I saw a Viggen for sale locally, advertised here too, for less than 3k. It had a seized engine. I wanted to buy it (even though really should not be thinking of these things now) and fix it up. I mean, for 4-5k more, I could have had a running Viggen. I love those cars. I love Saabs.

The Owner told me he had a firm offer, so I backed off. The only thing I told him was that I had hoped he was selling the car to someone who would fix it up, and not for parts as that car is not worthy of that. He replied, and said he was selling it to a Saab enthusiast who had intentions of repairing the car. That made me feel satisfied. Just a couple of days ago on another site, I notice a person who lives in my city who says he his parting out a Viggen and had a few questions. As you expect, this is the same car, and after contacting him, he told me he had thought about it but decided to completely part the car out because the parts would be much more appreciated (??????wouldn't you rather have a god damn car?), and that all would be left is scrap metal.

I think it is one thing to part a car out that has been totalled, but to part out a beautiful car that simply needs an engine, at that price? I honestly felt like someone was being murdered. That's how much I love Saabs. Not just mine, all of them. I feel very bad. To each his own.
