Cordless drill battery question Posted by IanC [Email] (#139) [Profile/Gallery] (more from IanC) on Thu, 19 Mar 2009 16:12:16 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I have a 11 year old Bosch cordless drill which came with 2 batteries. One is dead (can't charge at all) and the other isn't holding charges as well as it used to. I've found just the battery on Amazon for $55 and there are lots of websites offering battery rebuilding for a bit less.
I like the driver and it seems to be working fine, only the batteries are problematic. While "only" 14.4V, power hasn't been a problem. The existing battery is NiCad.
Should I drop the cash on new batteries or bite the bullet and buy a new system (similar Bosch using LiIon battery is $200).
Thanks!
Ian
