Talk w/ a financial professional ONLY. Posted by Gregg [Email] (#677) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Gregg) on Tue, 9 Jun 2009 07:39:24 In Reply to: financial advice, quincy, Mon, 8 Jun 2009 15:24:42 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
The first thing to due is seek a financial professional. Don't do it on your own. Do you write your own legal documents, or diagnosis you own medical conditions? Seek a licensed professional. Period. Also, don't pay to talk w/ the professional. The visit should be complimentary.
As a matter of disclosure I am a financial professional and I've seen too many people due terrible planning themselves or with the help of "Professional Yodelers."
My advice is to talk with any agent w/ one of the following companies: Guardian, New York Life, Northwestern Mutual, or State Farm. All of these companies are mutual insurance companies and their primary goal is the welfare of the client, not the stockholder. This is important.
Good luck.
Gregg
