Detergents are alkaline and so are, by their very nature, corrosive. You might want to check into getting a non-detergent/non-soap cleaner with a neutral pH. Most automatic dishwasher detergents contain chlorine. If your water is chlorinated, then you have the chlorine from it in addition to the chlorine in the detergent. Heat generally speeds up chemical reactions. So, the heat of the dishwasher speeds up the oxidation reaction of the chlorine.
Hand-wash with a quick towel dry & a light spray of white vinegar to keep aluminum parts free of corrosion!
