One word about eEuro... Alright, so maybe a few more than just one word. I order from eEuro every chance I get, not only because of the lower cost than other sources and free shipping for orders over $49 (United States), but also because of their customer service. If they don't have a part listed on their site, just shoot them an e-mail with a part number and chances are that they can get it (still cheaper than everybody else and the free shipping deal still applies). Of course, if it's a special order, it may take awhile to get it, but I'm rarely in a huge rush since neither of my Saabs is my daily driver. I always get "in stock" parts in 2 or 3 days, they package their shipments very well, and they will send parts in several shipments if some parts are in stock and some are not.
I tried to order from The Saab Site today, but wasn't able to. I e-mailed them this morning and asked if they could get a certain part after I had been in touch with eEuro and was told that they could not get the part. I received a response rather promptly and was told that the part was listed with Saab and that they could get it. I placed my order and soon received an e-mail that the part had been discontinued and my order was canceled. In the meantime, I had ordered the matching part (different part number, for the other side of the car) from eEuro. So now I won't two new matching parts on each side of the car. This isn't a big deal to me since the part in question is rather inexpensive and not at all critical...just my most recent experience with them. As a side-note, I find that domestic shipping rates for The Saab Site are inflated, as well. That could be due to the fact that free shipping has spoiled me.
For what it's worth, I always make sure I use part numbers when I correspond with either site. In the past, I have described a particular part (with photo) to eEuro and was told that Saab had discontinued that part a number of years ago. A few days later, I e-mailed them again and asked if they had part #xxxxxx and they quickly responded with availability and pricing. Somehow Saab "recontinued" the discontinued part in a matter of days. Oh well, we all make mistakes.
I think I'm just ranting more now than providing any sort of beneficial response. Drive safely and KEEP ON SAABING!!!
