x-ice are popular here. If the Yokos are better still, that is good news. How's the deep snow performance?
I'm also originally from the Maritimes - conditions here in Ottawa are somewhere in between there + Calgary. I wish we were allowed studs here - could accelerate through corners uphill on glare ice with those studded Hakkas. Unstudded, the Hakka 4's are amazing in deep snow, but the ice performance drops off quickly with use (whereas studs wear very slowly)...
