"Bad Letter" Dealers if Spyker deal is successful? Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Tue, 15 Dec 2009 17:33:21 In Reply to: For SAAB, It has come to this buyer or shut-down, TG, Tue, 15 Dec 2009 13:46:12 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Maybe this has already been discussed, if so I apologize.
My impression of the SAAB Dealership franchise cancellations was that the Koenigsegg Group identified which Dealers they felt were unnecessary, then had GM send out the letters.
Koenigsegg is now completely out of the picture. The US Federal Gov't is forcing GM and Chrysler to reconsider previous Dealership cancellations, even for those Dealers whose doors are now locked.
Is there a possibility of continued SAAB representation for the "Bad Letter" Dealers? Seems to be a very tangled mess, with the only logical solution being to return franchises to all of the former SAAB Dealers who want it, then Spyker would have the right to cull the Dealer listing after the sale is completed and weak Dealers are identified by objective measurements.
