It's a caveat emptor world, and we got burned by the fine print on the lease when we turned in our '04 Arc Wagon two months early, because we bought a CPO car. Not only did we have to make the last two lease payments (which we expected), but we got screwed out of all the extra mileage we bought (and paid for) when we bought the lease. (Note: this mileage would normally be refunded, or applied to a new lease.)
Live & learn.
