Proudly blame and boycott GM

I must say that I am tired of hearing this "don't blame them" bit. It is like saying "don't blame a predator for eating its prey". It's not something any friend of the prey would say.
SAAB could have battened down the hatches and ran lean on it's own, continuing to build the original 900 for another decade. Enough would have sold to afford the company time to develop a true new SAAB on their own. Apple demonstrates that it is still possible for a good niche company to survive until the blind masses recognize their brilliance.
Or, GM could have given them the runway needed to develop any one of a number of exciting prototypes through to production. But that was not the goal. In their acquisition, they bought an affordable but valuable competitor to extract skill and intellectual property and, ultimately, to eliminate them. This was clear to many back when the deal was made.
I mourned old SAABs then as I do all SAABs now. And, yes, I blame GM.
