I think all of us have sworn off GM products at this point. I'm struck that we (TSNers) use words like loyalty, conviction, and certainty.
While GM tends to use words (or phrases) that are more forgiving in their meaning.
GM people are in the act of dispassionately killing something that we love. Which makes it all the more insulting.
There is some degree of debate as to whether or not GM already killed it ( at some time during their ownership), but that misses the point. A 2009 9-5 is still more SAAB than you can buy from Audi. GM has reaped the whirlwind of its myopia. Of which SAAB is only one example.
For my part, I will maintain my SAABs with my own sweat and sometimes blood, and remain hopefull for SAAB's survival or eventual rebirth. Bear in mind that this loyal SAAB following is something that is being talked about in the negotiation room. Both as a reason for buyers interest and GM's price.
