We were recently quoted at our now closed dealership, over $4000 for "labor" to replace the complete steering/strut assemblies, clutch, seals, gaskets, water pump etc., as I had bought all the parts from eEuro. I told my wife I would do the work and we'd take the $4000 that we saved in labor to go on vacation to Hawaii. Fair swop I think!

I don't begrudge dealers trying to make a buck; we all have to make a living. What I do object to is paying riduluous prices for parts that can be bought for 50% less from site sponsors. When this price discrepancy was mentioned to the dealership, they didn't reply. I guess what this means is that I was not their target market.
