Yes. I got into the car not knowing what it would require. I didn't know about the timing belt/ tensioners assembly, the potentially drivetrain wrecking bevel gear malfunction, or some of the other costly problems that could cripple the car. I was lucky that the main components like the transmission and engine were trouble free.

I did have to replace a good number of things, though. The AC high pressure hose was leaking so I fixed that, I also got all new suspension components, and all of the other little things like blinker problems, door handles breaking, and new brake rotors and calipers. I slod it with a bad heater core and I never fixed the large dent on the front right quarter panel that I bought the car with. It had 148,550 on the odometer after the last time I drove it.

The quality has gone down since I had my 240DL back in the day. It was a tank!
