I bought a new '85 Jetta (which I loved), then a '90 Jetta follow by a '91 Corrado. All of them had more than enough room (our kids were teen agers), were fun to drive and got great mileage. VW has a new Sciroco with a diesel which looks real interesting. My first car was a '67 Triumph GT6 (bought in '69) when gas was $.28 a gallon and other cars were HUGE. Ever since I've just loved small, nimble cars. If Saab can give me something I can't get used (a sporty hybrid, diesel, or something small and light enough to be economical etc.) I'll break with my long standing policy and buy new.
