that car is low miles. both mine are low miles, but a little more than that. At this point, age is a factor + anything rubber starts to go + needs replacing: hoses, gaskets, seals, wires... you need to be able to diy or find an indy who wants to help you keep it on the road. Most of the time, that means finding the least expensive but still effective solution. Gold plated solutions are not right for these cars unless you are doing a restoration show car or have more money than brains...
I figure I spend on average about $1000-1500 a year at our indy. Some years are worse than others (the tranny replacement year, or the hg year), others cheaper... There tends to be a maintenance hump + once you get them mostly sorted out, they can go a while at low cost again... regardless, it's cheaper than a car payment.
