Bad driving is a way of life here. Yesterday I saw three cars drive through red lights. All three were sitting at the red light, and it didn't turn green, but they decided to go. One of them almost caused an accident. SUV's are bad everywhere, I think. People buy them for safety, but what they really mean is they want to kill you and come out without a scratch. There should be a special license to drive anything over 4000 lbs. The police here couldn't care less. They ticket for going 7 mph over the limit on the beltline highway (yes, they actually do), but all around you there is an abysmal lack of competence and safe practice, which goes unnoticed. That's how we know that speeding tickets are all about revenue and not about safety.
