Stopped by Reinertsen yesterday on the way to North Jersey. It s a Pewter(y) grey over black.
The car definitely has a road presence that I do not believe it rivals (A6, E-Class) have. Maybe it is because they are so common around my parts. It is very substantially sized car; although it's proportions seem to be spot on for a Saab. Plenty of space front and rear.
The exterior and interior finishes and material are outstanding. They not only feel good (VW/Audi), but have a heft that makes the feel they will last forever. The design is very nice and unique. They offered to let me test drive, but I declined.
To big points for me, though:
My 02 9-5 had a matte finished wood fascia on the dash. I am not a wood dash person, but that matte looked very Saab-ish. The dash of the new car, although not much is exposed due to buttons, etc. is a grey/black plastic - pretty much the same as my 99 9-3. While I do not mind it in the 9-3, buyers in that market are going to come out of an A6 (which contains an entire tree) in a petroleum based heaven. They should consider either a brushed aluminum finish or a matte finished black stained birch.
Second, the car stickered around $54K. It had navigation. But no sunroof. Again, anything in its class priced over $40K has a sunroof, if not standard then the option is always added. (Not a big thing for me, but it will be for others).
I like the car, I am sure it will lease competitively. Reienrstsen mentioned they do have a few more due in shortly in other colors. Other folks stopped in (they were all in Saabs) to see it. Everyone at Reinertsen is very accommodating (I have never been there before, but felt like I had).
