Bought a CPO X3 this past January, with 26k miles. Lotsa fun to drive and ride in. I have the optional larger BMW wheels -- and am really quite satisfied with the ride. The thing to avoid is the sport suspension.
Mine's an '06 -- some people on bimmerfest complain about the auto tranny's on the '07's and up. So that's something to watch (rough shifting).
I like mine a lot -- though its been back to the dealer far too many time for lots of little things -- mirror motors, bluetooth works/doesn't work, check engine light for fuel pump/gas gauge, etc -- all covered under warranty and always with a loaner, but its a pain. That said, most of this was in the first couple of months -- the last couple of months its been fine.
That said I bought the BMW from a dealer that also sells Saab. But the Saab side of the house -- from sales to service is 1000% better than BMW. That's disappointing.
Try an X3 -- fun ride for such a big vehicle!
