Beware what you wish for. LOL. We are getting so much snow that my daughter can't even use her sled on our hill: it kept getting stuck due snow being too deep and fluffy.
-5F temperature a few days ago caused my garage door tracks to freeze. I didn't want to park the convertible directly behind my winter car the 9-5 wagon, and it was too cold to shovel, so it had to chisel out its own parking space in the snow bank, a couple foot wide strip at a time. I got too greedy at the end, and managed to get a wheel spin on the ice layer under the snow bank (with the front end partially riding on loose snow), The spins dug two ice troughs directly under the two front wheels, robbing all mobility. Since the car was no longer directly behind the wagon, I just left it there hoping future warm spells would melt ice.
No warm spell came. With another foot of snow coming tonight, I decided to try get the car out of its pigeon hole this morning. Cloth, carpet, kitty litter . . . none of them worked . . . until I thought of borrowing two wheels with much better ice traction tires from my wagon . . . once the hydraulic floor jack entered the equation, it was only a short step to think of putting two 4ft long 2"x4" building material wood under the jacked up front wheels. Voila! the troughs are "bridged" and the car had a pair of "tracks" on which to back out.
