I just got on ebay to see what was out there and that seems pretty expensive, especially not being a low mileage car. Once you get over 100K they really won't ever bring the big bucks like a low mileage car. I saw a '95 with 57K for the same $10K. There were several with ultra low miles (like 20K or 30K) for not that much more. And I really don't think the five speed will make that much difference. There's rare as in Hemi Cudas and there's rare as in Chrome Yellow Saab convertibles. The reason they're rare is that not that many people really want a Chrome Yellow anything. XJS are cruisers (like MB SL's) and the people who buy them typically don't want a manual--those kind of people buy Porsches. Also, while the straight six is the better engine, when it reaches classic status it's possible people might prefer the V12 for the novelty, sort of like 409 Chevys, which were a truck engine compared to the 327. They are cool no doubt, but if you really want one either buy an ultra low mileage creampuff or a nice driver, which you can do for half the money.
