Yes, it was a great car and a lot of fun to drive! I actually had two. The first one which I mentioned was a 4 cylinder, 5-speed that I drove through 4 years of grad school. It rusted out badly, and during the last winter I was in Blacksburg, the block cracked on one night when the temperature was something like 15 degrees below zero. I was able to drive it to and from class and parties but not much more - it would overheat in about 20 minutes of driving, but that was fine for B'burg social life.

On the day after graduation, with my parents conveniently in town offering to buy me another used car as a graduation present, I guess it figured out that it had done it's duty, and refused to start (thereby sealing the deal of my parents offer).

Totally by coincidence, I got a great deal on a freshly painted, V-6 version of the same car. It had a custom dual exhaust system with headers and an over-sized carbuerator. It just flew. The Capri's suspension was always very responsive and it had a wrap around console very similar to the way Saabs are layed out. Good times.
