Here is the real problem with parts. Certain items, usually technical ones like car computers etc, are contracted and produced in batches. Most go to production, the rest to parts. A predetermined ratio is made at the tome of the initial order. Everything is fine until several years down the road and glitch shows up in a part and there is a high failure rate. In short order the parts are all sold from the warehouse and then that is all there are ! The original supplier may well not even have the components available any longer, even if they wanted to make more.
I would love to own a NG 9-5. Can I rationally spend 30 large on a vehicle with no support, no dealer network , no warranty and few available parts?
In the firesale mentality that MAY occur in the next few months, where would you step up to the plate ? I probably would not move until the price was about 20k for a Base 2.0 litre or 25k for the Aero.
What say you ??
