I plan to work at my job that I have now until I am around 60. I will have a pension once I retire. Then, I want to work for a car dealership driving the courtesy shuttle or driving cars between cities for dealer trades.
Do you really want to consult a career counselor? Do you want to start another career? Are you looking for an intellectual rush in your new job or just something to keep you out of the chair? Flexibility will be important to me. I won't want to work in a job where I can't take vacation as I need or work for some young boss who hasn't figured out him or herself and doesn't know how to handle diversity in employees.
Health is very important. As mentioned previously, maintain your testosterone with exercise and weight training. I know a 65+ guy who can rep 30+ pull ups at a time. He works with troubled youths at a facility out in the boonies. Most of those kids can't even do ten pull ups. It's really "not all in your head" because the body must be able to go alongside the mind. Take care of the body.
