Richening a/f ratio on MAF system Posted by ryan [Email] (#2222) [Profile/Gallery] (more from ryan) on Fri, 14 Sep 2012 10:20:24 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
The car is a 1984 or 1985 Toyota Cressida and its a $500 beater/rally car. That being said, I dont care if this isnt ideal for the engine, just looking for a fix that will keep it from dying significantly prematurely. I have a small nitrous kit (sneeky pete) which will be jetted for ~30 hp. This is a dry system, but NOS says to jet the carb richer to compensate. Well this is a MAF system. Question is, can i pull some trickery on the MAF to shift the measured airflow so it richens the a/f ratio? Or is this even necessary for the type of longevity im seeking? (150hp stock +30hp) thanks in advance!
