landlord responsibility for burned out tenant in MA Posted by Don [Email] (#1099) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Don) on Sat, 9 Feb 2013 15:54:58 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
At the height of last nights storm here in MA, a fire broke out in one of my single family rentals.
Tenant is shook up, but unhurt.
Fire dept put it out, but the house can't be lived in at the moment.
The fire dept told me that they suspect that a neutral opened at the pole (their words) and caused the electrical system in the house to overheat.
The tenant has gone to a relatives house for a few nights, but must find a place to live.
Does anyone have any experience or advice in this situation?
