How did the driving public ever manage without all the useless electronic junk in today's cars? The alternatives are cheaper and mostly don't break.
Back up cameras: use your mirrors and look over your shoulder
Back-up warning systems: use your mirrors, look over your shoulder, pay attention
Automatic parking: if you can't parallel park you shouldn't be driving
Blind spot warnings: adjust your mirrors, pay attention, do a shoulder check when changing lanes.
DVD players for every seat: Read a book, look out the windows, nap
Power outlets for electronic toys at every seat: charge before you leave and have batteries with you.
36 speaker stereo systems: why?
In-dash nav systems: Get a $150 plug in from Wally World or use your phone.
The list goes on and on.
Take out all the junk out along with the wiring and you start losing weight fast. Anyone who thinks this stuff is useful must actually believe advertising, cares what other people think, and has a desperate need to keep up with his/her peers.
