Have a couple of old orange (cheap) jacks that have leaked in different ways since almost new. One leaks quite a bit past the pumping piston onto the floor until the handle is horizontal if the handle is left part way up. Just have to make sure the handle is horizontal or vertical so there is no pressure on the pumping cylinder. The other leaks internally, under load the handle slowly raises and the jack slowly lowers. Use both jacks with a 4x4x10" block placed crossways between the lifting arms, lower frame, and wheels to keep the arm from coming all the way down. Would like to replace them with a powered jacks, but haven't found anything that has a wide base and looks sturdy.
