You might have to replace the top after 10 years, but really, probably not.
My parents have had a convertible in Vermont for the past 20 years (not the same car for that duration). Always garaged at home, but have sat through many snow storms during the day.
Besides the canvas top, its a car just like a sedan and can be prone to the same issues as any car in winter weather.
Unless you plan on keeping it as a collectors item, I say drive it, enjoy it then look for a replacement when the time comes.
I will say the only reason I wouldn't enjoy driving a vert year round is the lower windshield and lack of sunroof. Feels closed in. This is referring to an og 9-3.
