EPA certified high efficiency wood stoves! Wow!

Previously had natural gas but just bought a house that has heating oil. Used to pay around $100 a month for heat for a 1000 sq/ft apartment with gas. When I had to pay for a full 275 gallon tank at the closing (almost a $1000) I knew right away I needed another option. I was also told the cost to heat the house would be almost $3000 a year based on previous owner. No thanks..
So I bought a EPA certified high efficiency Drolet 1800i wood burning insert and installed it myself in my existing masonry chimney . Made by the Stove Builders International from Quebec Canada. (For our Canadian posters you Canadians know how to make a solid stove!) I had to install a 6 inch stainless steel liner down my flue. Connect the stove and cap the top. Was not a hard diy project and total cost was just over $2000.
I have a good supply of well seasoned wood from a close friend.
I have been getting used to running it the past few weeks. The heat output is incredible. There is a damper that controls the air going in so you can slow down the burn rate known as the secondary air system. There are stainless steel tubes that run across the top of the firebox that is surrounded by vermiculite bricks. Its like a incinerator where it produces almost no ash and 90 percent less smoke than a fireplace or stove of the past. They claim 75k btus at 77 percent efficiency with good wood.
Anyone else on here have any experience with one?
