Seat Surface Damage / Repair Posted by EGD [Email] (#663) [Profile/Gallery] (more from EGD) on Tue, 22 Oct 2013 08:07:52 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
'06 9-3 SC with parchment interior / 98K miles.
The material on the lower side support on the seat is cracked and damaged with some material missing. Too much flexing and compression over the years getting in and out of the car.
I believe the material is vinyl, not the leather on the 'seating surface.' Damaged area is about 2" long x 1/2" wide.
Anyone have any clever solutions for repair beyond replacing the entire seat itself? I've looked around the car, under the seats, etc. for a suitable, non-visible place I could remove other seat material for a patch I could glue over the damage to no avail.
TIA.
